1. Acceptance of Terms
By creating an account or using the AstraLog ingestion API, you agree to these terms. If you are using AstraLog on behalf of a company, you represent that you have the authority to bind that entity to these terms.
2. Description of Service
AstraLog provides log ingestion and synchronization services via its API and Dashboard. We offer three tiers: Community (Self-hosted), Cloud BYOC (Bring Your Own Cloud), and Managed Cloud.
3. Usage and Responsibilities
- Authentication: You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your AUTH_TOKEN. Any data sent using your token is your responsibility.
- Prohibited Content: You agree not to use AstraLog to store illegal content or any data that violates local laws.
- Reverse Engineering: You may not attempt to reverse engineer the hosted version of the AstraLog engine (except for the open-source components under the MIT license).
4. Data Ownership and Privacy
- BYOC Plan: In the Bring Your Own Cloud plan, all logs are stored in your own S3/ClickHouse accounts. AstraLog only facilitates the transport and does not store your logs permanently on its servers.
- Managed Plan: We store your logs for the duration of your retention period. We do not claim ownership of your data.
- Anonymized Metadata: We may collect anonymized telemetry (e.g., number of logs ingested) to improve the engine’s performance.
5. Service Availability and SLA
- "As Is" Basis: While we aim for 99.9% uptime, AstraLog is provided "as is". We are not liable for any downtime of the ingestion API or data synchronization.
- Maintenance: We reserve the right to perform scheduled maintenance with prior notice.
6. Limitation of Liability
AstraLog shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages (including loss of data or profits) resulting from the use or inability to use the service. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the last 12 months.
7. Payments and Refunds
- Subscriptions are billed monthly or annually.
- Managed plans are billed based on the gigabytes (GB) ingested.
- Refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis at our discretion.
8. Changes to Terms
We may update these terms at any time. We will notify you of significant changes via email or dashboard notification.
